The Origin Story
Why SnappyCVs exists
We realized something was broken. The resume format can't keep up with reality anymore. People today—especially in software—ship faster, learn faster, and operate across more domains than a 1–2 page document can honestly represent. Yet we compress our entire professional story into this lossy format, only for it to be filtered, scored, and rejected by machines before a human ever sees it.
The tools out there didn't help. They were either too simplistic (template generators that produced generic documents) or too hands-off (AI agents that would "apply for you" with hallucinated achievements). None of them addressed the fundamental problem: your full professional history is the dataset, but a tailored resume is the pitch. You need both—and they serve different purposes.
We wanted something that understood this distinction. A tool where you could maintain the complete truth of your career in one place, then intelligently generate targeted arguments for specific roles—while keeping you in full control of every word.

Jason founded Melee.gg, an esports tournament platform that grew to serve over 400,000 competitive gamers. He built and maintained systems handling real-time brackets, payment processing, and community features at scale—all while keeping security and reliability as top priorities.
After years in startups and enterprise software, Jason experienced the job search process firsthand too many times. Each time, the same frustrations: rewriting resumes from scratch, guessing what keywords mattered, and wondering if his real experience was coming through.

Our Approach
No invented claims. Ever.
Many AI resume tools take your basic info and "enhance" it with impressive-sounding achievements you never accomplished. They invent metrics, exaggerate scope, and produce resumes that are essentially fiction. This might get you past a screening algorithm, but it creates real problems:
